A SHORT REVIEW OF 1998 EVENTS

 

The 1998 Frankfurt Book Fair ran from 7^th-12^th October 1998.

 

n 8^th October at 6 p.m. 1998 Péter Esterházy presented his writings in the Lesezelt with the celebrated German actress, Judy Winter and pianist György Selmeczi. On the following day at 11 a.m. a joint international press conference was given on the concept and the preparatory activities of the 1999 Hungarian presence in Frankfurt. The press conference was held by Mr. Gergely Pröhle state secretary for public administration at the Hungarian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Prof. Árpád Bernáth, Director of the Frankfurt’99 Non-profit Organisation and Mr. Peter Weidhaas, Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
