    • Bódog (Felix) Somló’s Schriften zur Rechtsphilosophie is a collection of papers by the outstanding classic authority (1871-1920) of philosophising on law in Hungary at the turn of century, as well as of articles on Somló. Among the writings re-edited here especially the ones on the standards of evaluating the law (1909) and on the law-applying process (1911) are that herald the neo-Kantian turn in his new legal philosophy. The reprints included in the volume anticipate Somló’s famous Juristische Grundlehre (first published in 1917), which will be re-published in the present sub-series in two separate volumes. The tribute to Somló’s memory will be completed by the publication of his papers in philosophy and sociology, introducing his posthumous book-size fragments on the philosophical foundations of neo-Kantian axiology, which will also be included in the planned fourth volume. Edited by Csaba Varga, Director of the Institute for Legal Philosophy of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University of Hungary, Professor of Jurisprudence at Eötvös Loránd University and Scientific Advisor at the Institute for Legal Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
