The Lex Copyright Office is a member of a larger Central and East European network, the Belgrade-based Prava i Prevodi. Its task is the securing of American, English and Spanish copyrights for Hungarian publishers. The office is altogether quite tiny, employing a staff of only two. They are in close contact and co-operation with every significant Hungarian publisher. Since 1991, they have drawn up approximately 150 legal contracts annually. They are pleased to say that through this office Hungarian readers have been able to enjoy works by authors including Agatha Christie, Michael Crichton, John Steinbeck and William Faulkner. Co-productions for illustrated books.
