The Society of Fine Writers is a professional organisation designed to protect and represent writersí interests, set up by a group of writers who have mutual respect for each other’s literary endeavours, and who share similar intellectual outlooks. Its mission is to lend its services to the solving of practical professional problems encountered by writers in the course of their work, and to form the profil of the future House of Hungarian Literature. It also aims to establish a Hungarian and foreign-language information network, which will appear on the Internet and will provide up-to-date information on the literary efforts, interests, plans and availability of its members.
