The mission of the Édesvíz {Sweetwater} Press is to preserve the tradition of pioneering philosophies and Eastern cultures, and to propagate the themes of practical psychology and healthy living. The publisher has found recent success with the publication of the Chinese classic Feng Shui and that repository of ancient Japanese wisdom, ritual and custom, The Art of Life. In 1996, the press launched its Aranyág series, which month by month issues hardback editions of the classics of world literature (including works by Oscar Wilde, E. A. Poe, Dostoyevsky, Thornton Wilder and Virginia Woolf). The range of titles is set to expand in the near future with the publication of 20th century and contemporary Hungarian literary works. Its publishes aslo the worldwide succesful books of the Hungarian author Mária Szepes.
