The Institute for Germanistics of the University L. Eötvös covers the subjects of linguistics, literary studies, didactics, language practice, scandinavistics and netherlandistics. Its two regular publications are: Budapest Reflections on Germanistics (Budapester Beiträge zur Germanistik) and Studia Philologica Moderna (since 1969 and 1984) The Centre For Resourch And Teachertraining For The German Ethnic Group Living In Hungary works as a database and communicationscentre. It coordinates the education and the publication of scholarly works. It takes part in the organisation of conferences and workshops in connection with the German minority in Hungary. The Institute considers the development of subsidiary materials for the education of this minority its main task.
