Address of Publishing House: Year of Foundation: 1989 ISBN: (963) 9011 The Márton Áron Publishing House is the independent ecclesiastical publisher of the Hungarian Pastors’ Institute of the Hungarian Conference of Catholic Bishops. The press publishes the periodical Folia Theologica, which carries the fruits of theological studies by renowned Hungarian and foreign theologians alike to more than 60 countries around the world. Other regular publications include the monograph series Studia Theologica Budapestinensia, and the Strigonium Antiqum (edited by Margit Beke), a series of studies of major figures in Hungarian ecclesiastical history. Áron Márton was the one-time bishop of one million Catholic ethnic Hungarians living in the Romanian region of Transylvania, who heroically endured persecution for his beliefs over the course of decades of Communist terror.
